Sport News: Ludogorets is working on a new wing option
The leadership of Ludogorets has activated plan " B " for the attraction of a winger. The reason is that the transfer of Sebastian Villa fell through. The Colombian had agreed with the Eagles, and everything was agreed with his club Béroe . The expectation was that the winger would be presented as a player for Zagreb early next week, but that was not to happen. The reason the deal fell through was that Friday's medicals showed a problem with the player. After their results, the medical staff has advised the club to abandon his involvement.
However, the Eagles are keen to strengthen on the wing as there is increased interest in star Bernard Tekpetei and he could be transferred, as is expected to happen with another key player - Jakub Piotrowski. Ruan Kroos is also up for sale, for whom English club West Ham sent an offer worth 9 million euros. It was rejected by Razgrad, but a response from the Hammers is expected. At the moment, in addition to the Ghanaian Georgi Dermendzhiev, he has the Brazilians Caio Vidal, Rick Jonathan and Rai Nascimento on the flank, but the latter has a very peripheral role and is more often used in the second team.
So far, the people of Razgrad have attracted only one new player - goalkeeper Hendrik Bonman. In the winter, the Eagles were quite passive in the transfer market and only took Ivaylo Chochev. Therefore, the club is now expected to be much more active in order to strengthen themselves ahead of their participation in the Champions League qualifiers
For now, Ludogorets is hitting a snag in its attempts to sign Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidu from Sweden's Elfsborg. Championship side Sheffield Wednesday are favorites to sign the 25-year-old midfielder.
