Sport News: Despair and anger are sure harbingers of failure! CSKA - Sofia needs faith and time
CSKA - Sofia will not play in Europe. The "Reds" found this out in the most painful way possible - after a 0:2 defeat by CSKA 1948 in a direct barrage for the last Bulgarian Euroquota.
The loss "uncorked" the long-simmering discontent of the fans towards the management in the club, which erupted into violent aggression. Dozens of Zapalyankov fans invaded the field with one goal - to protect the "CSKA" idea in their own way. Vandals, bastards, primates - the epithets are irrelevant. During the last 8 years, these people were repeatedly encouraged, through various manipulative supports, to act brutally and violently, and now we are angry with them and point the finger at them for defending CSKA not in a civilized manner and with arguments, but with trumpets and fists.
Let's recall the dozens of vulgar declarations of the former leadership, the countless attempts to put pressure on the few critical journalists (i.e. including the withdrawal of accreditations and setting the zealots against them), the state's inaction and reluctance to implement laws on football and social issues that are key for society issues that, in the end, often lead to outbursts of aggression and self-harm.
The match between the two CSKA was initially explosive. No matter how much they deny it, the fans of both teams share the same DNA.
United by the love of the sacred four letters, they have similar ambitions and dreams, but try to realize them in different ways. brings great satisfaction and apparent supremacy over the opponent, and one would hardly give up this "superiority" of his for the sake of general success.
So, since 2016, the "Army" and "Bistrica" have been clinging to this "Did I tell you so?" so strongly that it is not very clear how some kind of compromise and understanding will be reached.
On the contrary. Any loss to the opponent is painfully accepted. In principle, CSKA - Sofia almost always beats CSKA 1948, but not when it comes to a game of great importance. In the last 12 months, two such matches were played, which ended disastrously for the team from Borisova gradina. Last season, CSKA - Sofia lost the title after 1:1 against their "red" opponent in the penultimate round of the efbet League, and now they flew out of Europe after losing to them with 0:2.
The loss unlocked the emotions of the fans. Their despair turned to anger, and the helplessness of the football players was "compensated" with vandalism.
Nothing surprising. Simply, physical strength and aggression are an increasingly preferred way to achieve goals in Bulgaria and around the world. The invading Zapalyankovites follow modern trends. In this case, the message is clear - either provide us with victories, or the melees are yet to come.
The lust for power, success at any price and a lot of money to pretend to be God are so important in the modern world that primitive human values and rights have long been worth nothing. That someone was going to die from a rocket or that a policeman was injured after being hit with a pole - news for two days. Such manifestations do not affect society very much. It perceives them as seir and a kind of relief from everyday life, but not as a catalyst for radical changes in the state.
For these 8 years, almost no one tried to explain to "red" Bulgaria that anger and rage, harnessed to always blaming failures on someone else, are a sure harbinger of impending failure. And he follows year, after year, after year…
CSKA should not and cannot be Litex. The difference is too big. Some have the support of half of Bulgaria, and the others - of half a town.
The mentality and understanding of a successful project are so different that they are practically inapplicable to the other side. Litex was a good team for Bulgaria, and CSKA should be like that, but for Europe. A minimum of the level of Ludogorets as a strategy of the owners for the development of the club, invested funds and quality of players.
And this is where the fault of a huge part of the "red" community lies. For the 8 years in which power was entirely concentrated in the businessman Grisha Ganchev, articles that the club was not developing as expected were a real rarity. In general, they acted on the principle of "good or nothing, so as not to create headaches".
According to the unwritten rule of the "Army" and "Gerena", most journalists become "brave" and "uncompromising", but only when they feel that an owner is about to throw in the towel, has no money or is not one of the favorites of state power. We are currently witnessing exactly that. Ganchev is anathematized daily, but be sure that if he now returns as a shareholder in CSKA - Sofia, the "criticisms" in question will subside once and for all.
Therefore, the "reds" need a real change, and at least at first reading, the feeling is that the new people want to start it.
Whether they will be able to take the club to another level, at least to that of Ludogorets (by the way, this is not about a title won by chance), is a separate question.
But Friday's attack certainly doesn't help that. The new ones are inexperienced in managing a football club, even more so one with a large fan base. This means that they will make a lot of mistakes in the beginning, and any upheaval can push them to act rashly - be it a hasty and/or expensive selection that does not achieve the desired upgrade, or bringing in the wrong coach.
If real change is wanted, they should be given at least a year to work in peace, trying to show people that they can turn promises into action.
And the other main driving force is faith. If they don't get time, faith and some tolerance for future mistakes, everything will crumble after one or two losses to Levski, Ludogorets or CSKA 1948.
After the change of ownership, some positive things are visible and we should point to them as a good initial start for development in the right direction.
The new owners saved the license of the club, which was in question until the end due to obligations to the National Revenue Agency and foreign teams. The operation costs several million BGN.
By all accounts, it seems that they have secured enough funds for the construction of a new stadium and base for the DYUSH, which will absorb about 100 million BGN. The mandatory condition for them is that in the near future they must appear before the public and talk about CSKA - Sofia.
It is also noticeable that the new managers demonstrate a far more appropriate behavior in relation to communication with the media, and their public appearances towards referees, the BFS and opponents are more measured and in line with generally accepted European norms in football. Critics may interpret it as weakness, but it is quite the opposite.
Sofia barked against Ludogorets in the last 8 years, refusing to admit that they were behind in absolutely all important indicators compared to the Razgrad team, except for the audience. But the old leadership managed to lose her too.
